Advocacy & Partnership

Members in Action

Decatur Area Audubon's well-informed and passionate members actively participate in calls to action on a variety of conservation concerns. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our members work to lend not only their voice but their action towards the greater good.

Community partnerships include:

The Decatur Area Audubon Society co-hosts Second Saturday Regulars Bird Walks in partnership with Glacier’s Edge Master Naturalists.

Co-sponsor of the Festival of Spring and Hummingbird Festival with Macon County Conservation District.

And in partnership with the Environmental Council of Macon County, Decatur Area Audubon co-sponsors a semi-annual Sangamon River Clean-up.
